About HarPlot
HarPlot shows every plot of a housing society on a map, with its number, size and what the plan says about it. It is made for buyers, owners and dealers who want to find a plot and understand it before they visit or pay.
Where the maps come from
Each society is drawn from the layout plan its developer or its approving authority published. HarPlot takes the facts from the plan, which are plot numbers, sizes, roads and public places, and draws its own map from them. The plan's artwork is never copied or republished. Every society page names its source and the date it was read.
The background map is built from OpenStreetMap data, available under the Open Database Licence. Satellite imagery, when a visitor turns it on, comes from Esri and its partners under Esri's terms. Neither is mixed into HarPlot's own plot data.
How accurate it is
A plan is a drawing, not a survey. HarPlot places each plan on the ground and grades the result. Class A means surveyed control points put the map within about three metres, class B within about eight, and class C means the position is approximate and the map says so. No HarPlot map is a demarcation. Plot boundaries on the ground are fixed by the society's own survey and the land record, never by this map.
Legal status of societies
The legal status pages quote the lists published by the Rawalpindi Development Authority and the Capital Development Authority, with the authority's own wording, a link to its page and the date the list was read. HarPlot makes no judgement of its own about any society, and is not connected to any authority, developer or society.
Corrections and takedown
A wrong plot number, a missing plot or an outdated plan can be reported from any plot page or on WhatsApp. A society or a rights holder who believes a page should not be shown can ask the same way. Requests are answered, and a page is taken down while a reasonable request is checked.
Use of the site
The map and its pages are offered as they are, for information. Check with the society, the authority and the land record before any payment or transfer. Pages may be linked and shared freely. Copying the plot data in bulk, or presenting it as a survey or a demarcation, is not allowed.
